Wilson Phillips was an American popgroup made up of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilsonand Chynna Phillips. Although their success in the early 1990s was brief, they scored four Grammy Award nominations, two American Music Award nominations and a Billboard Music Award, [1] they are also famous for being the offspring of prominent musicians; the Wilsons are the daughters of Brian Wilsonof The Beach Boys, while Phillips's parents are John Phillipsand Michelle Phillipsof The Mamas & The Papas. The Wilson sisters and Phillips were friends from childhood, growing up in southern California in the 1970's and 1980's. The three shared a love of music and songwriting, and developed their own style of vocal harmonies. In 1989, producer Glen Ballard and SBK Records signed the trio to a record deal.

Goodbye Carmen Lyrics

Wilson Phillips

And her eyes are like skies that will rain
But theres work to be done, and she does not complain
Her children are so far away
I heard you crying, I heard you pray
Now you must go, and its so hard to say
Chorus:
Goodbye, carmen
Thank you for staying with us for a while [with your pretty smile]
And someday youll get home again
Goodbye, carmen
Hasta manana or who knows when (it all depends)
Goodbye...
Were convinced our intentions are good
But we live in this world often misunderstood
Can you feel it? (uh-huh)
I can feel it (d-doh)
And no one seems to care much, and its so hard to say
(chorus)
Carmen...careful what you do, be careful what you see, carmen
We will always be with you
Turn around but shes lost in the sun
There was so much to say, but shes already gone, so
Thank you carmen, dont be afraid this is not the end,
So rest your head, I hope someday we will meet again.
Goodbye, carmen
Hasta manana or never again
But youre my friend carmen
Goodbye...goodbye...goodbye..........
